SAAC: “The Great Mysore Bhagavata in the Edwin 3rd Binney Collection”

One of the gems in the Edwin Binney 3rd collection at the San Diego Museum of Art is the Bhāgavata Purāna (Ancient Stories of the Lord), referred to as the Mysore Manuscript, dated around 1825. The Great Mysore Bhāgavata - is a recent publication by the renowned scholar Dr. B N Goswamy which is a complete study of the Mysore Manuscripts of nearly 200 illustrations. Join us for a lecture/ presentation by Dr. B N Goswamy to commemorate this occasion . This event will be at The Royal India restaurant - there will be a reception prior to the presentation followed by lunch. This is a unique opportunity to mingle with Dr. Goswamy and other like minded art enthusiasts.
